Alleged threatening text messages lands Lowndes County man in jail

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man was accused of sending threatening text messages.

Larry McCorkle, 43, was charged with cyberstalking.

Lowndes County deputies said he sent threatening text messages to an ex-girlfriend.

In those texts, investigators said McCorkle threatened to hurt the woman.

His bond was set $5,000 and he remains in jail.
