Amory PD Make Two Felony Arrests
AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Amory police arrest two men on felony drug charges, and one of the men is charged with assaulting an officer.

James E. West, 26
26-year old James West of Aberdeen is charged with meth possession and simple assault of a police officer, among other misdemeanor charges.
Officers noticed West parked at a closed business, and when West came out of his vehicle to talk, officers found a weapon in the vehicle.
When asked about the weapon, West jumped back into the car and a struggle took place.
West was then tased and officers were able to take him into custody.

Jason Adams, 37
West remains in the Amory City Jail awaiting bond.
37-year old Jason Adams of Hamilton was arrested and charged with meth possession.
Adams is being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Adams remains in jail awaiting bond.
