An update to the shooting investigation in West Point
WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point Police are investigating a fatal drive-by shooting.
Police Chief Mike Edwards confirmed someone was shot in the Meadowbrook Circle area of West Point Tuesday night.
Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter, Jr., has identified the victim as 23-year-old Kolby Gann.
He died at the scene.
Another shooting victim was found nearby. That person had non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are unsure at this time whether the two shootings are connected.
The investigation is still in the early stages.
Officers were on-scene collecting evidence into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
No arrests have been made.
