Annual Data Summit held in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Technology continues to evolve and Friday at The Mill in Starkville it was the annual Data Summit where folks from different professions talked about how that technology is used today.

It’s no secret that today’s technology that can be used to solve crimes, missing persons cases, and much more.

WCBI’s Aundrea Self moderated a panel this morning at the summit tilted “23 and Criminology.”

The conference also talked about research and how that research is processed.

“Our goal is to bring people together to have those conversations about data and talk about research aspects that maybe people haven’t been thinking about, we produce a lot of data as much as we consume it, probably even more so. So it’s good to know how your data is being used,” said communication manager Laura McPhail.

This year was the fourth year for the event.
