Another FEMA Fraud Claim In Winston County

WINSTON COUNTY (WCBI) – The number of people accused of Disaster fraud in Winston County continues to climb.

Emily Curry of Louisville is the latest to face claims she filed a false claim that her home was destroyed in the April 2014 tornado. Curry was arrested Thursday on an indictment ranging back to February. The Federal Emergency Management Agency says Curry claimed she lived in an apartment at 201 Beall Avenue that was destroyed but prosecutors say that was not her primary residence. Multiple people have been indicted on fraud charges using that same address.
