Appeal Of Life Sentence Rejected
JACKSON (WCBI) – The state supreme court says a Clay County man will continue to serve his life without parole sentence.

CHANDLER
Joey Chandler was 17 when he arrested for the 2005 murder of his cousin.
Following his conviction, Chandler was sentenced to life without parole.
A new sentencing hearing in 2015 once again resulted in the same life without parole sentence.
The Mississippi Supreme Court Thursday rejected Chandler’s claim that since he was a juvenile when the murder took place he was not eligible for a life without parole term.
