Artesia triple homicide suspect pleads not guilty

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man accused of killing three people in Artesia pled not guilty in Lowndes County Circuit Court.

Cark Allen is facing capital murder charges in January’s deadly shooting on Mobile Lane.

He appeared before a judge Monday morning and was given a temporary trial date in August.

Demario Snell, Mauricio Mance and Tyshun Fields were all killed in the shooting.

Deputies have never released a motive in the case.

“The next step is to focus on whether he needs a mental evaluation because this is a death penalty eligible case and once the defendant decides whether they want a mental evaluation or not will decide the next step forward for the case,” said District Attorney Scott Colom.

Bond was denied by the judge during Allen’s arraignment.
