Asst. Secretary Of State For Education And Publications Announced

JACKSON, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann is pleased to announce a new addition to the Secretary of State’s staff.  Amanda Frusha will serve as the Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Publications.

“Amanda began her career here and excelled at every level,” says Secretary Hosemann.  “We are very pleased for her to return her talents to this Agency.”

As Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Publications, Amanda is responsible for managing the production and distribution of official state publications such as the Blue Book, General Laws, Local & Private Laws, House and Senate Journals and Judicial Directory.

She will also oversee educational and outreach programs.

“The Education and Publications division publishes some of Mississippi’s most dynamic resources promoting many of the State’s valuable industries,” says Ms. Frusha.

“I am excited to be working with Secretary Hosemann in his continued effort to engage and inform Mississippians of the significant work taking place across our State every day.”

A native of Beaumont, Texas, Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Mississippi College.

Most recently, Amanda has served as Project Manager for the Center of Telehealth at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

In this role, she coordinated the Corporate Health Program as well as developed marketing efforts to promote business for UMMC and Mississippi.

Before her time at UMMC, Amanda served as the Director of Elections Compliance for the Secretary of State’s Office where she led the compliance team, including campaign finance, lobbying, and election officials training.

We welcome Amanda back to the Secretary of State’s Office.
