BREAKING – 2 Monroe County deputies hit at checkpoint

HAMILTON (WCBI) –  Two Monroe County deputies are in the North Mississippi Medical Center after being hit at a traffic checkpoint.  The officers were helping at the Hamilton detail when they were hit by a vehicle. Details on how that happened and any drivers involved are not available at this time.  Conditions of the deputies following the 9:45 Saturday night incident are not available but both are expected to undergo surgery.
