Burglary caught on cam, suspect was hired to feed family’s pets

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Surveillance video helps put a man out on parole, back behind bars.

Chester Chad Kellum, 41, is charged with two counts of Burglary.

West Point police say the owners of an East Street home returned from vacation to find some items missing.

After looking at surveillance video, they believe it was the man they hired to feed their animals while they were away.

Investigators say Kellum went inside a locked bedroom and took some items and also stole some tools from a vehicle that was parked outside.

Kellum was on parole for a burglary conviction.

He remains in jail.
