Caledonia gains full ownership of long-shared town hall

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) – The Town of Caledonia now owns all of its Town Hall.

Since the building was first donated around 1973, its ownership has been shared equally between Lowndes County and Caledonia.

The Lowndes County Board of Supervisors approved filing a quit claim deed and transferring the county’s half to the town.

The town will have full ownership and responsibility for upkeep.

The County recently replaced the roof on Town Hall, so hopefully that will keep it going another 50 years.
