Chambliss granted preliminary injunction against NCAA

PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) – Ole Miss fans have not seen the last of Trinidad Chambliss in a district court ruling in Pittsboro, Mississippi.
Chambliss has been granted a preliminary injunction against the NCAA, granting him immediate eligibility for the 2026-27 season.
The ruling comes after the NCAA denied his requests for another year of eligibility, where Chambliss then sued the NCAA as other athletes have done in order to gain an extra season of eligibility.
His eligibility triggers a $5 million revenue-sharing contract that he signed with Ole Miss, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks heading into next season, and a frontrunner for multiple awards.
