Video: Changes Possible To Starkville Smoking Ordinance

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Starkville’s smoking ordinance could soon be changed.

Aldermen are scheduled to consider whether to have a public hearing on the matter.

If approved, city leaders would hear feedback from residents about including electronic cigarettes in the definition of smoking products in the ordinance.

Starkville permanently adopted a smoking ordinance ten years ago.

More than 100 towns in the state have municipal smoke-free laws in place, including Columbus, West Point and Tupelo.
