Chief Oscar Lewis Recognized During Council Meeting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- During Tuesday’s city council meeting, Mayor Robert Smith and council members took a moment to thank Chief Oscar Lewis for his service at the Columbus Police Department.

Lewis announced his retirement earlier this month. He was presented with a plaque and wished a happy retirement.

Lewis was rehired last January as the department chief.

His last official day of duty will be December 28th.
