Choctaw County Shows Appreciation For Area First Responders
CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Residents in Choctaw County took time out of their day on Friday to recognize its area first responders.
Dozens gathered as the Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce held a dinner for the those who serve and protect the community.
Residents said, first responders put their lives on the line everyday and this was a way for them to say, ‘Thank You.’
“It’s just a great thing. Choctaw County has some of the best people I’ve ever been around as far as serving each other and protecting each other and getting out, like I said at 2 o’clock in the morning, if we get a call we go,” said Ackerman Fire Chief Billy Stricklin.
This is the seventh year the Chamber of Commerce has hosted this event.
