Christmas Eve Car Burglary Arrest

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – A man accused of multiple car burglaries, captured after a brief foot chase.

On Christmas Eve, Oxford Police arrested 21-year-old Allen Mathis.

Mathis led officers on a foot chase after they responded to a tip of an auto-burglary occuring on Church Street.

The Oxford resident admitted during his arrest that he broke into some vehicles recently and earlier in the day.

Mathis is charged with 4 total counts of Auto Burglary.

His bond was revoked as he was already out on a separate felony bond.
