Christmas Train to make pit stop in West Point
WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- The Holiday Express will be rolling to West Point on Friday.
This will be the Christmas train’s third visit to the Sam Wilhite Transportation Museum.
That’s why workers at Jubilations Cheesecakes and volunteers baked hundreds of festive, sugar cookies.
3,000 sweet treats were baked and decorated in the shop’s kitchen.
Up to 5,000 expected passengers to enjoy on the ride with hot chocolate.
“The Growth Alliance is a special part of what we do in West Point. Lisa pretty much can get whatever she needs from Jubilations. She is so good to the merchants here. We just got asked and we are happy we got asked to do it and we’re just flat out glad to be a part of something this exciting,” said George Purnell.
West Point will be the Holiday Express train’s first stop on its tour.
The event is open to the public.
