City Asks Residents To Conserve Water In Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A water main break prompts city leaders to ask residents to conserve water in Tupelo for the next 24 hours.

According to the city, road failure on Highway 178 at Mooreville has caused a 36-inch water line to break.

The line is maintained by Northeast Mississippi Regional Water Supply District.

As repairs are being made water will be shut off to the area.

The city says residents should also be prepared for a boil water notice in light of the break.
