Columbus man accused of sex crime involving child under 14-years-old

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A 40-year-old Columbus man is the suspect in a sexual battery case involving a juvenile.

Ryan Scott Perrigin is now behind bars.

Last week, Lowndes County investigators received a report alleging Perrigin committed a sex crime with a person under the age of 14.

Perrigin was charged with sexual battery three days after the report was filed.
