Columbus man arrested on domestic assault charge
A Columbus man is behind bars for alleged domestic assault.
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is facing a domestic assault charge following an investigation by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies got called to a home on Buck Egger Road Sunday about a domestic disturbance.
Investigators said Eltoro Harris, 45, allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, choking her and throwing her to the ground during an argument outside of the residence.
And when the victim tried to escape, Harris reportedly tried to hit her with a vehicle before he left the scene.
Deputies later arrested Harris and charged him with Aggravated Domestic Assault.
This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
