Columbus man facing federal indictment on child porn charges

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Friday appearance in Federal Court is the next step for a Columbus man arrested by Lowndes County investigators in November.

Nathaniel Vance Kyles, 29, is now facing a two count federal indictment of Possession and Transportation of Child Pornography.

Lowndes County detectives were tipped off late last year that Kyles was storing pictures and videos of children under 18 simulating or having sex.

A warrant led them to a DropBox internet storage account where the pictures were located.

Kyles is free on bond but cannot leave the Northern District court boundaries.
