Columbus man sentenced for secretly filming people in home

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man will spend a decade in prison for secretly filming people inside a home.

Richard Dobbins was ordered to serve 10 years in prison.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of filming another person without permission for lewd purposes.

Lowndes County Investigators said a recording device was found in the bathroom of the home.

Other electronic equipment was also seized back in 2017.

Deputies worked with the state Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force in the investigation.
