Columbus police make 6th arrest in fatal Thanksgiving Eve shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – There are new developments in the Thanksgiving Eve shooting that left a Columbus teen dead.

A sixth arrest was made in the shooting death of LaBronze Moore.

17-year-old Enry Meadows of Clover Street in Columbus was arrested by the SWAT Team at his home.

He is being charged with murder.

24-year-old Rufus Lee Neal III turned himself in to Columbus police Tuesday.

He was also charged with murder.

Tuesday afternoon bond was denied for the four other suspects in this case.

17-year-olds, Johnny Coleman, Rasheed Neal, and Kenzel Guyton along with 18-year-old Travaris Laquond Mixon Jr, had their initial appearance in Columbus Municipal Court.

The four teens were also charged with murder in the death of Moore last Wednesday.

Moore was shot at a convenience store at the intersection of North McCrary Road and Forrest Boulevard.

He later died from his injuries.

Columbus police said the investigation is still open and there could be more arrests.
