Columbus police make separate burglary, grand larceny arrests

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man was accused of breaking-in a Lowndes County Road Department shop.

Jamon Tyler Boswell, 23, was charged with burglary.

Deputies said Boswell pawned a stolen item from the shop. He was later found and arrested.

That’s when detectives found other stolen items.

Boswell’s bond is set at $5,000.

In an unrelated case, Lowndes County deputies arrested John Wesley Ward, 46.

He’s charged with grand larceny.

Investigators accused Ward of taking an ATV from Steel Dynamics.

Detectives told WCBI that Ward worked for a contractor at the plant.
