Deputies break up four county theft ring, more arrests possible

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A four county theft ring leads to two arrests and investigators searching more for evidence.

Levi Kelly is charged with Grand Larceny.

Taylor Johnson faces the same charge. A mugshot was not immediately available.

The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the thefts of ATV’s, horse trailers and cargo trailers in Choctaw, Webster, Montgomery and Oktibbeha Counties.

Law enforcement in those counties are working together, along with Ackerman police.

They’re investigating an area along Hawkins Road in Oktibbeha and along Highway 9 in Choctaw County.

Deputies believe the theft ring is tied directly to a meth operation, covering multiple counties.

Other arrests are expected.

If you see vehicles in your area acting suspiciously or see trucks hauling ATV’s that are covered with a tarp, call local law enforcement.
