Drug investigation leads to multiple arrests in Tishomingo County

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A joint drug investigation between Mississippi and Alabama led to multiple arrests Thursday.

Tishomingo County deputies said they pulled over a car on CR 957 due to an ongoing drug investigation. The investigation was tied to the driver and passenger in the vehicle.

After learning the driver had a suspended license and searching the car, deputies and narcotics investigators found 43 Suboxone pills under the dash.

The driver of the car had outstanding felony warrants in Alabama. The driver of the car allegedly tried to hide methamphetamine in the deputies car, but was caught. Corrections staff found more alleged methamphetamine and marijuana hidden on the driver at the jail.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the house of the driver and the passenger of the car. At the home, deputies found another man and woman staying at the house. A juvenile was also found in the home.

During a search of the home, deputies found more alleged methamphetamine, scales and pipes. A gun was also found in one of the bedrooms. The man and woman were taken to Tishomingo County Jail, while the juvenile was released to family members.

Heather Huges 41, of Iuka, was charged with two counts Felony Introducing Narcotics into a Correctional Facility, Felony Tampering with Evidence, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Child Endangerment.

Her bond was set at $30,000.

JC “Bo” Johnson, 49, of Iuka, was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Intent to Sell, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Child Endangerment. Johnson also faces misdemeanor charges.

Dellie Earnest, 46, of Iuka, was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Child Endangerment. Earnest also faces misdemeanor charges.

Her bond was set at $10,000.

Danny Joe Hacker, 45, of Iuka, was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Child Endangerment. He also faces some misdemeanor charges.

His bond was set at $10,000.
