Egg Bowl Rivalry Personal For Ole Miss HC Luke

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Winners of three of the past four Egg Bowls, Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke would love nothing more than to keep the Golden Egg in Oxford for another 365 days.

Luke went 2-2 in the Egg Bowl as a player of Ole Miss from 1995 through 1998, but has been a part of Rebels football every year since.

“It’s a 365-day bragging rights, and it’s always been important in my family ever since I can remember,” Luke said.

“This is not my second egg bowl. It’s my 42nd, but again, it’s always something that means a lot, and very important for this senior class to go out on a winning note in this game i think is very important.”
