Election Challenge Hearings

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Hearing dates have been set in two mayoral election challenges in Noxubee County.

In Macon, James Harlen is challenging the run-off primary election that took place back on May 16th.

Incumbent Mayor Bob Boykin won that race and was re-elected mayor.

Harlan is questioning how absentee ballots were handled, among other things.

The hearing is set for December 13th and 14th.

Meanwhile in Brooksville, Earlie Henley Jr. believes the absentee ballots in the mayoral race should be thrown out.

This hearing will take place December 11th and 12th.

Special Judge Frank Vollor will hear the cases.
