Elusive Suspect Back In Custody After Months Long Search

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man that has been arrested more than 45 times and on the run for at least seven months in the Twin States is back in jail tonight.

Jerry Michael Rogers, 33, is in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.

He was wanted on a Manufacture of Marijuana charge in Lowndes County.

Rogers was also wanted in Fayette, Lamar, and Pickens Counties in Alabama.

A number of law enforcement agencies were searching for Rogers in the Liberty community of Pickens County last August.

Investigators did not consider him dangerous.

However, Pickens County Sheriff David Abston says Rogers is known to be elusive and can live in the woods for long periods of time.
