LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Winston County Medical Center met with employees today to discuss the future of their jobs. The facility was destroyed in last week’s tornado.

Interim CEO Paul Black says once the mobile hospital is up and running, all employees needed will be allowed to work. WMC will pay insurance deductions for all employees until August 1st. Black says the goal is to come back to A better facility and get everyone back to work.

“We are going to try to work on as many as we can as long as we can. We are going to try to get creative with schedules so we can get employers of all types of positions in there so they can work. They can start drawing a paycheck,” says Black.

“I think it’s very informative for all the employees to let us know what’s going on and what we can expect. I think they are going to take care of Winston Medical employees,” says staff member, Mary Guinn.

Employees can also file for unemployment benefits with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
