Eupora Doctor Is Named 2018 Country Doctor Of The Year

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI)- It was a night of celebration in Eupora as hundreds came out to congratulate a hometown doctor who’s been given a prestigious honor, The 2018 Country Doctor of the Year.

Dr. Charles Ozborn was presented the award during a ceremony on Friday.

Ozborn has spent more than 50 years caring for patients and improving the health in his hometown community of Eupora.

He’s delivered more than four thousand babies throughout his career, and said it’s humbling to be able to receive this award.

“It’s a great honor to me, but the greatest honor I have is  the honor to be able to treat these people and all of the people in this community for all of these years,” Ozborn expressed. “That’s the biggest honor that I’ve had even though this is a great honor for me.”

The award was presented by Staff Care, which is part of AMN Healthcare.

Now to go along with the award, Dr. Ozborn is also receiving a two week paid vacation.
