First pediatric flu death of 2020 reported

The Mississippi Department of Health reported its first pediatric flu death of 2020 on Tuesday.

The child was from Central Mississippi.

MSDH said the child did not test positive for COVID-19.

This is the first pediatric flu death since 2018.
