Former Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell pleads guilty to four charges

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Former Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell has pled guilty to four counts of a ten count indictment.

Mitchell pled guilty to two counts of trafficking firearms and two counts of embezzlement.

He also resigned as Webster County sheriff effective immediately.

Mitchell will be back in court later this month for sentencing.
