Frost Likely for the Next Couple Mornings

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Cool air has arrived! Frost is likely for the next couple mornings as temperatures drop to near freezing.

TONIGHT: Cold! Lows in the upper 20s and low 30s. Thankfully, winds should die down overnight.

MONDAY: Temperatures will be at or below freezing as you walk out the door on Monday morning. Widespread frost is likely. After a cold start to the day, we’ll see lots of sun with afternoon highs in the mid-50s.

TUESDAY: Frost again in the morning. Temperatures will be at or below freezing. The rest of Tuesday is mostly sunny with some thin, high clouds overhead. Highs in the upper 50s.

REST OF THE WEEK: Patchy frost is possible on Wednesday morning as temperatures drop to near freezing, but milder air arrives on Thursday. Our next chance for rain comes over the weekend as a system meanders over the Southeast, but there’s still a lot that can change with this. For now, I have kept rain chances low, with only the possibility of showers over the weekend. We’ll see how things trend this week and update the forecast as needed.
