Fun At The Town Creek Festival
NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI)-Small towns are always coming up with creative ways to bring more people and more funds into their area, and the town of Nettleton is no exception.
On Saturday, the town celebrated their annual Town Creek Festival, sponsored by the Friends of Nettleton.
Antique tractors, food trucks, and live entertainment were just some of the activities at the event.
The goal of the festival is aimed to raise money so that they can bring more attractions to area.
Kacey Riley is President of Friends of Nettleton, and said this is just one way to help bring in more customers to local businesses.
“Just getting more events here in town so it helps out business owners bring more people to our town that way we can just have more things here,” said Riley. “We want a splash pad. We want a bigger park. We just want more events.”
Riley said they hope to raise up to $5,000 with this year’s festival.
She said they’re getting ready to come up with estimates on how much they’ll need for the splash pad and other items.
