Governor Ivey to tour areas damaged by Alabama tornado

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – In order to see just how devastating the damage is in Lee County, Alabama, Governor Kay Ivey will take an ariel tour Wednesday afternoon.

The tornado path is wide and long. In Lee County along 23 people died. And, there’s not much left.

After the flyover, Governor Ivey will take a land tour.

She also is expected to sign the FEMA agreement. That will open the pipeline for federal disaster funds for the state.

The Governor will begin her tour about 1:30 p.m.
