Gramma McGee’s World Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Any time we’d head to Gramma and Grampa McGee’s farm, you could always count on fresh chocolate chip cookies to be on the counter just as we’d pull in!  I loved those days when Grampa would take us out on the tractor, and Gramma would be cooking dinner with her World Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies ready to go on the counter.  

Here’s the secret family recipe I grew up loving.  It brings back memories of the past, and I can’t wait to one day share these with my own grandkids!

Ingredients:
1 C – Softened Butter
1 C – Brown Sugar
1 C – Sugar
1 tsp – Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 C  – Flour
1 tsp – salt
1 tsp – baking soda
2 C – Quick Oats
6 oz – Chocolate Chips
1/2 C – Chopped Pecans
1/2 C – Coconut Flakes

Directions:
1. Cream butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
2. Add flour, salt, soda and mix.
3. Add oats, nuts, chips and coconut and mix.
4. Split dough into two portions.
5. Roll into two logs, freeze overnight.
6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
7. Cut dough into 1/4″ slices, bake 8-11 mins.
8. Cool five minutes before serving.
