Granting Wishes
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Area businesses, churches, and individuals grant the Christmas wishes of hundreds of children in Lowndes County.
This morning, December 18, the Salvation Army distributed gifts to families who qualified for the “Angel Tree Project.”
A Christmas Tree decorated with angel cards identified the wishes of more than 425 children.
Then the community stepped in.
“We are so excited that people trust us to be able to do this for the community. We want to thank our donor. We also had an anonymous donor to give 12-thousand dollars that will do toward our Angel Tree this year. And so we are very grateful to that anonymous donor,” says Lt. Jennifer Graham of the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army assists families through its “Angel Tree Project” every year at Christmas time.
