Heavy rain brings flooding to MUW campus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI ) – Fast moving storms brought a brief round of flash flooding to downtown Columbus.

It appeared one car stalled in the water along 15th Street South, while others turned around.

Some of the high water events went onto the Mississippi University for Women campus.

Some parking lots and roads at “The W” were under water.

No damage was reported.

The water eventually went down and things returned to normal.

Columbus has received about two inches of rain in the last 12 hours.
