Henderson’s Return Paces Ole Miss in OT Win over LSU

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI/AP) – Marshall Henderson scored 25 points in his return from a two-game suspension, Jarvis Summers added 20 and Mississippi rallied past LSU for an 88-74 overtime victory on Wednesday night.

Henderson started slowly, but scored 19 points after halftime. He made a crucial 3-pointer midway through overtime that gave the Rebels (11-5, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) a 76-69 lead.

Ole Miss went on an 11-0 run to start overtime for an insurmountable 80-69 lead. Sebastian Saiz added a career-high 20 points.

Andre Stringer scored 23 points for LSU (10-5, 1-2). He led a Tigers bench that combined for 40 points.

Summers hit a 15-foot jumper with 30 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 69. LSU’s Anthony Hickey missed a jumper with 4 seconds left in regulation that would have won the game.

Ole Miss has won six of the last seven against LSU.
