The hunt for an escaped Noxubee County inmate continues

NOXUBEE, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s day two in the hunt for an escaped inmate out of Noxubee County.

The Noxubee County Community Work Center was on lock-down for majority of Thursday while both county and city officials searched.

Around the time Rush took off, a grey Chrysler 300 was stolen from Earl Nash Elementary School.

Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassaree says they need the community’s eyes and ears to help in the investigation.

“We’re just trying to make sure we cover all our bases,” says Grassaree. “To the public if you see a Chrysler 300 with a Winston County tag call Noxubee County Sheriff department or you can call the Macon Police Department or any branch of the MDOC.”

Rush is originally from Lowndes County.
