“I’m really excited about playing at Martin Methodist next year,” said Hawkins. “Look forward to working hard and trying to help the team as much as I can. I really appreciate everything Coach Kirk and Coach (Cary) Simmons did to help me get better and have this opportunity.”

As a freshman, Hawkins earned MACJC All-State and All-North Division honors after going 12-6 with a 2.71 ERA, 53 strikeouts and a team-best 1.000 fielding percentage.

The Lady Indians extended their MACJC North Division championship streak to three-straight years after winning back-to-back division championships and 68 games during Hawkins’ two years in Fulton.

Martin Methodist College is a member of the NAIA’s Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). Last season, the RedHawks finished 32-25 and advanced to the third round of the SSAC Tournament.
