‘Last call’: Tupelo Salvation Army seeks unreturned ‘Angel’ gifts

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo’s Salvation Army is putting out a call to those who adopted “Angels” from Christmas trees.

December 13 was the deadline for people to return the gifts on each Angel’s list. There are still several Angels whose gifts haven’t been turned in. Volunteers are working hard to sort all the presents for distribution day next week.

Captain LeAnna Marion said they need to hear from those who took the Angels as soon as possible.

“If you have an Angel, even if you tucked it into your wallet Black Friday and you see this, and say ‘oh I got my Angel, it’s in my wallet,’ whether you can fulfill that Angel or not, communicate with us and let us know,” said Marion.

Marion was asking anyone with an Angel to call and let the Salvation Army know whether they could get the gifts. If you can’t, they still need to know to make sure no Angel was forgotten. That number is (662)842-9222.

Angel Tree gifts will be distributed next Tuesday.
