Law enforcement investigates shooting near Sen. Hyde-Smith’s home

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies are investigating a shooting near Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith’s Mississippi home.

The shooting happened around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Mississippi Today reported that law enforcement said the shots were fired from a 9-millimeter weapon in the direction of a vehicle of a family member of Hyde-Smith as that vehicle drove up the driveway toward the Senator’s house.

No one was injured in the shooting. No arrests have been made.
