LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The signs of progress are on the move in Louisville.
It’s a big sign the town continues to recover from an E F 4 tornado that hit two years ago.

Now on the verge of gaining a company that produces all over the world.. locally
This is a great and wonderful day far Louisville.
Two of Winston County’s county’s most significant businesses team up to make a significant impact in the community’s future.
Machines made at one Louisville plant and being placed in another keeps tax dollars in town.
Vice President of Human Resources David Morel says,”Taylor Machine Works is a global leader in their field and and Winston plywood and veneer is building a world class facility here and its a wonderful example of how two companies can work together to uplift a community and help with these wonderful and great recovery efforts.”
Louisville Mayor Will Hill says,”Taylor has been such a staple in our community and sustained us through such tough times and we’ve always depended on the timber industry and wood products but yet we’re having a rebirth of that.”
A powerful and deadly twister devastated Winston County. It destroyed homes and one of the town’s key industries.
30 days before the twister stuck, NEW WOOD RESOURCES bought the mill that sat in ruins.
Mayor Hill,”We’ve been through so much not just disaster but economic down turn really was devastating to Winston County.”
Despite the tragedy, significant progress has been made in two short years.
Morel,”It’s come a long way, the mill has become a symbol of hope for the community here and so we are just about ready to cross the finish line. The mill is moving forward in a prescribed manner and it will be a world class facility and it will have a lasting impact on this community.”
The rebuilding of the plywood plant will eventually create three hundred jobs and boost the town’s moral.
Mayor Hill, “We keep looking forward to the jobs created but the construction since our disaster, the rebuild of this facility has all had a positive economic impact.
The plant is expected to be fully operational this year.
