Lowndes Inmate Dies In Parchman Attack
PARCHMAN, MS (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man serving an armed robbery sentence is dead after being stabbed at Parchman Penitentiary.
43 year old Carlos Jack was attacked around nine this morning by a fellow inmate. Prison officials say Jack died at the prison hospital about an hour later. 35 year old Myran Shanks
is accused of stabbing Jacks with the homemade knife. No other inmates were involved in the attack. The prison is now on lockdown and no visitation will be allowed because of the death.
