Lynn Fitch announces run for state attorney general

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi’s treasurer wants a new job, as state attorney general.

Lynn Fitch officially made the announcement Monday morning.

The Holly Springs Republican was first elected back in 2011, and is currently in her second term.

Fitch began her law career as a special assistant attorney general with the A.G.’s office.

She was appointed as the executive director of the Mississippi State Personnel Board in 2009.

Republican State Representative Mark Baker also announced he’s running for the attorney general’s post.

Current A.G., Jim Hood, is running for governor.
