Macon Mayoral Election Challenge Dropped

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – The mayoral election challenge in Macon has been dropped.

This means longtime Mayor Bob Boykin will keep his seat without going to court.

James Harlan had questioned how absentee ballots were handled, along with other accusations.

He filed the petition after the Democratic primary runoff election back in May of last year.

Boykin was first elected in 2005.
