Macon police release name of man arrested in deadly shooting case

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – Macon police released the name of the man arrested and his charges in a deadly Macon shooting.

29-year-old Maxi Chandler was charged with murder and aggravated assault.

A bond has not been set.

He’s in the Noxubee County jail.

The shooting happened Saturday night on Martin Luther King Drive.

32-year-old Michael Taylor died after being shot.

A 16-year-old was injured and flown to a Jackson hospital.

Investigators said there was an argument before the shooting started.

Chandler did turn himself in to the police.
