Macon shooting leaves multiple gunshot holes in cars, residences

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – A shooting in Macon left multiple gunshot holes in cars and residences.

The incident happened Wednesday, November 1 around 4 p.m. near the corner of Washington and Green streets.

Multiple people were involved in the shooting and upon investigation, police found 60 bullet casings at the scene.

According to the police chief, witnesses said there was a four-year-old child outside during the time of the shooting.

“We know there were multiple guns. A Rifle, 40 Calibar, a 9 Millimeter, on video. You can hear one of the guns possibly has a switch on it,” said Beck. “These people have no regard for human life. To do something like this and the time of day they did it. Broad daylight. You had a deputy that was in close range, saw it, a short pursuit, and saw where they went. But like I said they fled so fast and we were unable to catch them on foot but we do have videos from the camera and one of our police poles.”

Beck said they do have a possible suspect.
